Now that's a cold engine bay! Kind of surprised how much snow accumulated under the hood.

It floated mid teens most of the ~300 miles. Across NY
I noticed the PS cooler never got froze up. Engine Never got hot either did chase a couple pickups and semis at 45-50 most of the way while majority of the public ran 25-30

Shoulda seen the inside of my wcfab piping after spending a winter running around New York sucking in snow/moisture and whatever shits all over the roads. Amazing how quickly that shit rusted.

Well changed the air filter, old one is substantially heavier than the new one, wet dirty filters are Substantially harder to breathe through I guess??‍♂️?

Well not really good news, on the way back home front start clunking think it's the CAD not working right, I've pulled the front Ds and disconnected the CAD solenoid, seams to fixed that problem..
There's a clunk that seams to come from the back, G80 might be going out.. and I have ~480 miles till home?

Check the grounds for that? IIRC the front disconnect will stay locked in if there's no power / ground
Thought it was the other way around ??‍♂️??‍♂️
Pulled DS CV shaft, moves freely and no noise.. did find oil leak, but nothing grabs hard enough to jerk the truck, wheel bearing has no play,

Now I have a 2wd with no weight in the bed??‍♂️

And Lowe's/home Depot are both closed early due to it being new Year's

Idk, maybe there was some anomaly going on I didn't catch on the last one I dealt with. It was a manual 4x4 but I thought the cad worked the same

Made it home about 740 this morning, took a few naps,
The truck definitely stopped jumping like something was slipping then catching,
DS wheel bearings never got hot, it was actually colder than the PS that still had the CV shaft in.. all the noise and stuff came from DS.

Glad I kept a couple 925 front diff, down side ones 3.73 and other is 4.10 and I don't know if I labeled them right ??‍♂️

Hopefully the fleet grade hubs treat me as well has the fleet grade rotors/pads have been over the years.
Bearings have a 3yr warranty on them.
New bolts as well, spins substantially easier now?
Well think this is shot..time to go find my receipt ?
Also CAD works, can hear it move when I move the Tcase lever by hand under the truck

Yep doesn't take much noise rolling by hand but those things will sing going down the road. Knock on wood but I've got 9 years on my cheap lifetime 1Aauto hubs

I tried to stave off hub replacement by the "shoot a little grease into the hub thru the ABS sensor hole every year" method from back in the DP days.
