Got the tracking number, BCM "should" be here by close of business Friday..
Also called dealer about new ignition cylinder and key. Current setup generally has to be jiggled to cycle from OFF. The doors, for the most part are fine.
I'm looking at ~250-300 for ignition cylinder, it being built and a fresh key cut to match.. add another 150 per door.... that's a project that can wait a bit
Well today "Friday" got a BCM waiting for me

Trying to find what's pulling 3-4A through the main feed fuse box wire in the engine bay... I've pulled all the fuses, relays and nothing, I've disconnected each connector on the BCM inside with nothing.

Lifted fuse box, then connected junctions, the one connected has the most amp drop. Which seams to run down and out the chassis.

I still get burning wire smell, even with main fuse box disconnected.
Going to pull the battery to starter cables and inspect them.

Haven't installed the new to me BCM yet

I think you're going to have to split that fuse panel to see the board inside

That connector still attached has ABS on it, correct? Maybe ABS? But you said you pulled all the fuses and still have draw? Guessing you're going to need to open it up

Yeah that houses ABS pump stuff....
Gues the electronic side of the pump is shot. And holes in the floorboard would explain burn wire smell in the cab

Hooked everything back up, still with original BCM, truck fired, dash gauge work, CC still doesn't light up the steering wheel button probably the clock spring..

Definitely would be swapping that connector out
Definitely, for now, I've pulled all fuses related to the ABS, only thing I can do now, is dig up the part number for a new one, sucks there's no return policy on the BCM, but knew that buying it.

Wish it was easier to find, would have fixed the problem months ago??‍♂️.

Based on the picture of what I can See, I am guessing you have the JL4 Except 10 series option? The melted pins 13 and 38 are both battery+ voltage wires.

In which case they list 19178085 as being a service number. and its the only plug I can see that looks like yours.

I believe the other use the same plug but are wired differently, except the JH6/JH7 option which has a different plug and locking mechanism.

This is What it shows when I look up the wiring for that vehicle. Look at your RPO code and tell me which one it is.

I have JH6 and JL4 RPOs
Supposedly this is the part number... 13528146
Per this

IDK what "series 10" refers to, unless they're using 40+ yo 10/20/30 chassis denotatives??‍♂️

Hmmm, I am not sure.... The only one that list a service number was that one. The plug looks like yours when I find them for sale how ever the insert is grey.

Then I found the 19178089 which has a white insert.

All I can tell from the Diaghrams is that the wire colors and pin locations like the positive an negative are different between the options.

Might have to call the dealer with your vin and let them tell you what the correct replacement plug part number should be and if it is available.

That's basically the plan. I haven't visually checked the ebcm side of the pump yet, I'm just happy I don't have a bricked truck anymore ?

Did order a clock spring, should be here by Friday The 28th.

I can only imagine... probably like my blower motor resistor in my 1500 truck. The plug meted to the resistor. I had to buy a pigtail to replace it. Then when that one failed 5 years later it did the same thing.... luckily it had a lift time warranty and I bought the pigtail from the same place so I made them give me a new pig tail to fix it.

Per dealer 19178089 isn't attached via vin. 19178085 is and is ,~75.00

Edit
Hicksville said they'll sell me a whole chassis harness section for 300
$75 there List price.... on Ebay and other sites its around $50

I was going to suggest seeing what they had. Probably not a huge seller for them. If you had the Part number for that you might even find a good one complete
