Sorry to hear that you got out of the hotshot business. If it truly was a blessing for you, then I am happy for you.

Keep the paid off iron. Either you get back into it and will need it, or it cons you nothing to have it when you need it for something else.

I know one of the other members here runs AG, but I don't remember if its Owner Operator or if he drives for someone else.

On another note, is that 3500hd a gas engine? I remember you saying that is the one that made you the most per mile.
I'm not out, more of a Tactical retreat, the 3500HD has a 454/NV4500.
I still have my FL60s, get them together, and probably pick up a used 48'/53' stepdeck, hopefully things turn around come next spring

The cheapest cost per mile iirc was my RED 99 3500HD with the LBZ swap with stock pistons

At least I'll have a very capable tow rig with the 8.3 cummins/13sp

Last trip out to the Colorado river. I enjoy the light load compared to the winter desert trips, but it’s definitely hot pulling that chiriaco summit grade.

I was taking my old C-10 for tuning at Dustin's. I don't like a lot being done with it. That Load Trail with that hydraulic dove tail works good with a long set of ramps, but that trailer is heavy. The rear air bags on my old red truck make it sit level and ride a little better.

Installed a gooseneck hitch last night and picked this up for my brother this morning. Never towed a gooseneck before, it's pretty sweet. Much nicer than a normal trailer.

It's an air tank. I've got an engine driven compressor and air bags.
Is it a converted York unit?

I've got a York 210 and a small air tank from a Semi sitting in the garage for one day, I'd be curious about mounting brackets and plumbing if you did the same

Oh dang, didn’t know little shop had that, but I guess makes sense for bagged trucks.

have you done any mods to your 210 for oil? Do you only use it for the rear bags, or do you use tools/etc off it as well?
We're derailing the heck out of this thread, but hopefully James won't care since it is kind of tech we're discussing :p

My 210 is stock for now. I'm possibly going to flip the head around so the outlet is on the top, and/or plug the oil feed hole while I'm in there. I run the rear bags, air up my tires after playing in the dirt/sand/strip, and occasionally run some air tools.

The compressor is actually at the powder coater right now, since I was getting the 2020 oil cooler coated to match the motor, I thought why not get the compressor at the same time? I'm leaving the head bare, due to the temps it runs, but it should look trick with just the body. I suppose we will see...

Also, to get the thread back on track...

Is it irony that my POS 2500 Burb has not only hauled my busted LB7 twice, but it is now sacrificing its life to be traded to the transmission shop so that the Duramax can have the trans rebuilt?

Ol Hoe had to pick up the slack in the meantime. Excavated ~quarter million pounds+ of clay for a retaining wall project. Used it to move 8 tons at a time from one side of the property to the other. 4wd Low 1st gear the whole time.
Also Hauled 36 tons of concrete to the dump with it grossing 18,000 each trip, but no pics.

About to cross 200k miles with hardly any repairs. Cluster was replaced under warranty and a rear blend door actuator went out a few years ago.🤘
