I still use 7.5 too. I open v8 sometimes and it’s just so visually unappealingYa know, its been a long time since I opened EFILive, let alone ever used V8. Always been a V7.5 guy.
Bought a V2, oh, 10 years ago and never opened it. So using V8 had a bit of a learning curve to it.

My mom passed away 3 months ago and we're going through things. Found a few items that were my dad's. I still have my Sears timing strobe light from the early 80's.

Isn't that kinda what the recent supreme court decision on Chevron deference was about? Stop the agencies from making up laws. Congress is supposed to make the laws and the executive branch with its hundreds of agencies are supposed to enforce them. If there was any ambiguity in the law the justice department would sort it out. But we had non elected personnel in these three letter agencies making rules and laws and thats where the overreach really came from

Anything settled will likely stick. Stuff that is still in the works might be dropped. I don't think the change will be retroactive. Just a moving forward type approach
One of things I saw, is that a Lawyer was stating that there is now a legal precedence for them to go back and over turn those cases and also since they were not done Legally, that those settlements could be reversed and that those agencies would have to pay back.
Obviously each person would have to get there own legal council to see if it's warranted.
I for one would like to see a certain member have his case overturned and the Felony charges removed as a result. It's not about the money, It's about the over reach and how they went about things Illegally to obtain the fine and issue Criminal charges. The Chevron Doctrine ruling shows that.

Yeah. Only way is to re-litigat those cases. There's not going to be any easy way out and broad ruling to overturn them
and it may not make sense for a smaller shop. But some of those big settlements and felony charges, It may be worth it...
I was surprised to see DHD just settled for a $70,000 fine for their issues. I almost wonder if they wouldn’t have held out for a little while longer if they would’ve just not had to worry about it at all. At a certain point time you just want that shit behind you. I can’t imagine many shops wanting to drag that shit out again for a re-trial.
If I told you guys what my company lost in the last six months on emissions, equipment issues, you’d be floored. Of my head I think we’re up till like 20 DPF’s alone. And ALL of our equipment is 6 months or less old. I’ve had guys sitting at home for a week before because we couldn’t keep the fricking junk on the job running. Komatsu has been the absolute worst. All of their systems are tied together and it’s domino effect on one component fails. Injectors had to be done with DPFs…..

@Dozerboy the problem or SOP is the EPA will come in threaten with a $XX million fine or settle for pennies on the dollar and a K form? On not to participate again..
While they/EPA can't "burden" your company directly they'll run you in the ground with court cost and legal fees..

Yep, the process is the punishment. Even if the EPA or whatever agency looses the court case, they still win the fight. They fight you with your tax dollars so they always win, even if they "loose"
That's absolutely terrible. So at only 6 months or less old are they even doing anything?
