Well got it home, of the 5 315/70/17 on H2.. 2 have now thrown belts.
So pulled the 305/70/17 on 17*9 soft 8 off my suburban and stuck them on the truck. Also re-installed the ride quality weight... Out os curiosity, found ~1750lb squats the truck 2.5".

Got the OEM bed liner out, all the major big dirt washed off.. it's not high desert clean, for for something that's spent a lot of time around rust belts it's above avg.

I been on a hunt myself for a box so i feel the pain. Picked up a completely rust free Oklahoma box with some dents (was told was a pipe/fence truck) but a 2016 (for my 2002 build). thing is pristine outside he dents. Got it on and decided i wanted a period correct. Barely a bite for 450 around here which shocks me. (i'm in rust belt too). but man a rust free mid 2000s they try to bring 2k for them.

Clean 8' bed are roughly dime a dozen it seams like up here. Really wanted a long bed but wasn't an option when I bought this one

Well seams fan clutch is dieing, AC is auto going into re circ at idle, radiator, CAC, condenser where all cleaned before install.. grabbed one of my solid hubs, installed it on a spare blade, then quickly realized it's not a quick swap..

Also if anyone wonders how loud it is.. clip of my dually with 4088, straight 4", cam and oval pistons

That’s not too bad. My Kodiak’s fan screams with the solid hub. Fiberglass hood and no real engine bay sealing doesn’t help.

Why can’t you use the electric fan kits we use on LS builds? They are so quiet you almost can’t hear them run. My truck has zero problems staying cool and I tow heavy boats with it regularly in 95 degree temps. I think they help bc in traffic they still move some air.

Your probably in the minority with this. It's understood that electric fans kinda limit you to about 10k lbsand possibly less in hot weather or going up grades. When your going down the highway with a lower height load with lots of air over the radiator, you're not likely to overheat.

But, when you have a large camper or wind load and climbing up a grade or stop and go traffic you might struggle with keeping the temps down

Jason's on point especially with the route I'm heading.
Electric fans have their place. And they work great for what they are.
Boat weights is kinda outside my wheelhouse.. what do you consider a heavy boat?

I've already had 20-21,000lb trailer behind this truck
My 30" GN is 7100lb empty

IDK how accurate the number is, I know 10,000cfm is what the flow rate at 3000rpm? Seams to be going number.. I know the fan is over driven in relationship to crank speed.. gues I'll check that when I get home.for the fan to crank ratio

I thought it was 2-3x that amount when the clutch is fully locked and running at 3k rpms

Interesting discussion on the CFM of the fans. Numbers are all over the place. But maybe enough information to get an idea of electric vs mechanical
