My son is not made a bit of progress at the hospital in the 3 weeks he's been there. We went and saw him yesterday. He head butted me a few times and scratched me pretty good. Then threw up his dinner. He's never had that issue and now does if they let him have more then 1 glass of liquid with dinner..... It was tuff knowing at best he got 4 more months before insurance won't pay for anymore of his stay. He wasn't so drug up that we got a few smiles out of him thought atleast. My wife held it together until we where on our way home. I lost it walking away from him down the hallway of the hospital.
We had a hell of a week last week. It's funny to me that
@JoshH posted that picture because I was gonna swing by the shop on Friday and talk to him since we where in DFW. We didn't have time but apparently it wouldn't have worked out for him either. Ouch! These new trucks might be junk, but the are safe
My daughter had a TKD competition and ended up taking 2 gold medals home in taekwondo. She obliviated the competition. She won 4 matches by point gap 12-0. A full match is 2 minutes and she had won every match by 20-30 seconds. She was fighting without her coach even. More on that. We where super proud of her. This was the first competition I had been to in a year due to my son behaviors. She is Red in the video.
My daughter's TKD coach couldn't be at the competition because his 3yo son fell and fractured his skull. He recovered fine, but it took a few days to figure that out. The doctors didn't really want to dose him with radiation since he seemed to be okay at first. We're very close to their family and they sought my wife's opinion since she is an RN. She agreed with the doctors however that night he began throwing up and they rushed him into the hospital which ended up him being life flighted to another hospital due to swelling in the brain and the fracture. My wife obviously blamed herself because that's the way she is and had a bit of a breakdown. Luckily the swelling never got any worse and he's gonna be okay.
Since we were driving to DFW for a competition we decided to go see family and friends in NE. I haven't seen anybody there in 3 years and hadn't even spoken to my mom in 2 years due to family drama. We had just recently started speaking again. Well one of our very good friends' in NE brother-in-law had a stroke right before we got there and he is likely not going to recover. We gotta see my sister right before she went in for spinal surgery. Found out my mom needs a 5th spine surgery, but only if they can get her bone density backup to where it might work this time. Everyone else is doing pretty good even my 90-year-old grandparents somehow. So it was a good visit regardless of the onslaught of unfortunate events. Our friends and family came through on short notice to make it a good trip. We are blessed to have them there to support us.
