Curious, do any of you have connections in the waterjet/laser cutting world?

I have a buddy that does. What you after Tom?
Im doing an "Eagle Scout" project for the Catholic Church on my route, sort of a "give-back" to the community. Im going to replace four painted "mass time" signs of theirs that have seen far better days. Im using an acryllic outdoor material for backing and metal lettering/numbering like on a home. The issue Im running into is trying to duplicate the crosses on the signs, along with the eucharist/chalis symbols on them. I was also asked, if possible, to include an image of St Mary, too. So Ive got to have four of each symbol cut out of aluminum or stainless, then powder coated black.

My son has a contact that might be able to do the job, but I figured I should probably ask you guys, too.

My brother used to do that type of work every day. He built some elaborate signage. Lots of CNC work and castings. Doesn't have access to any of the tools anymore but would be right up his alley if he did

Well my wife and daughter will be back tomorrow from Taekwondo nationals with one gold metal. She didn't metal in Olympic sparring. She got taken out second round by the girl that ended up taking gold. I think her coach took it the hardest. He was mad at himself for not being able to help her out more. We are super proud of her. We are looking at going to the Jr Olympics for Point Sparring since they are going to be close to us this year.

I'm super happy with my son too. He has been having a tuff time for a bit, but had a good week with me. He was behaved enough I was able to get some stuff don't around the house. Just got done reading him a bed time story and waiting in his room for him to pass out.

Lit a bunch in the street with the family.

While eating BBQ before it got dark enough to light the fireworks, we noticed one on the big ones being lit off by the neighbors fly off to the side maybe a few houses over. Then a few minutes later we started seeing smoke

Turned out that there was a large vegetation fire in the backyard of some houses not far away. Some trees, a fence and maybe some kind of out building got burned. Don't know if the errant firework was responsible or not. But it was in the right direction. You can see the glow of the flames. Luckily it looks like the fire department got it under control quickly. Had 6 engines and one ladder truck along with the Chief on sight. Just a little excitement for the night on top of the fireworks

Customer on the route was telling me today that he sledpulls with motorcycles! Showed me his two-wheel and three-wheel pulling cycles, and they are pretty darn cool. He has won points championship in both categories for the past couple years.

Went up to some BLM land and showed my girlfriend how to shoot for her first time. Started out with a 10/22, moved up to a 9mm and then a .223

She seemed to like the 10/22 a lot, which is understandable. She fired maybe 150 rounds through it. Took to it quite well for her first time. Showed her all the safe items, how to load a magazine, cycle the bolt, trigger safety, etc. after a few times she was doing it all herself and hitting the cans and paper targets
