The dodge double dragon is rated at 220% because they supposedly flow less in stock form than a dmax pump. I have both, but only installed the 150% so far
I'm only going this route because my stocker is absolutely a POS. holds an amazing 10k psi lol sometimes dropping as low as 8k.
When I get dual fuelers, ill put a stock one in it's place and the modded one out on top for ease of service.
Why did you take the compressor housing off? You couldn't get the bridge out with it on?
there is a new 200% I believe ?
Just out of curiosity why does anyone go with a modded single instead of dual stock pumps? Is it really that much cheaper when you factor in the sacrificed reliability?
Yes there is a 200% over and they will only use a new pump to build it and not to be used on the street. And the 150% that you can drive with.
I stand corrected, I can definitely see how a pump any larger would not be streetable.
Yep, the bridge won't come out.
not to be used on the street.
Tim they said you can drive some with it but don't use it for you DD.
we still have a lot of tuning to do, but from what I've seen, this 150% pump will be capable of reaching the air limits of this S475
yep, the bridge sucks with that coolant pipe in the way on the vvt turbos...
Ok. Well here is my update... II keeps giving the run around about having cores and not having cores. They wanted me to send my current one to them first. Which can't happen bc it's my dd. So Ryan and I have said F-it.
Now I'm just going for the brand new modded CP3 route since they say they have new ones, just no cores. They agreed to 2nd day air it to me. But I still have to pay ~$300 more for the new one.
But get this... THEY STILL WANT MY CORE! wtf? That just doesn't make sense to me. Why do they need my core if I'm just getting a brand new pump? I'm not taking one of their rebuilt cores. So I'm not going to be taking from their supply.
Also, they want cores from people buying reman pumps. I understand this. They say that people have not been returning their cores and that's why they don't have any. But they charge an extra $400? To the guys that fail to return the old one. My guess is that money they charge, is supposed to go towards restocking their supply of cores. That way when their customers order a pump, there is a short turn around. To me, it sounds like they are spending the money elsewhere. Thus customer satisfaction is lacking.
Does anyone agree with my viewpoint on this? I'm not a business owner. Or know anything about owning one. But from my understanding, they are not doing something right.
When they buy the pumps new there is a core charged to them so that gets passed on to you. When they restock on there own they do not buy used cp3 pumps to mod they buy new ones like your getting now. So the money does in return go into restocking just not on ones to be R&R from old core pumps.
