Got to ask a dumb question. Rev limiter will not fix the defuel will it? I.e. it defuels because you hit the rev limiter or two separate things. What is a safe RPM limit to use in a stock truck block, no rods, cranks, etc... any gains in performance from raising it in my truck or is this just for team salad type people that have millions into the motors and turbos?

I'm shooting for 3800 on stock guts.
I'll let you know if it craps it's pants!!

I think 3800 to 4000 should be ok.

As far as the defuel, that remains to be tested. Hopefully some people get on to testing it soon and we get some positive feedback.

So, if you set revlimit to 3,800 and tell the computer to shift at 3,400, it shouldn't defuel?

Install question. EFI site says:
Extract this ZIP file into your 'C:\Program Files\EFILive\V7\Calibrations' folder to install.
Easy enough, done.

You must also move the file "M81.bin" from the E35 folder once you extract the zip in to the folder here -
\Program Files\EFILive\V7\Calibrations\E35

I read this as move the M81 from E35 and put it into E35. Doesn't make since. Its the same place.

Here's the problem I'm having with defuel and shifting. For some reason sometimes my transmission doesn't want to shift soon enough. It will rev to ± 3500 RPM and defuel like hell. Now that the rev limiter has been removed it can go past 3500 if it wants and not defuel.

Anyone figure out where to put the E35 file?

i'm having the same problem. I dont have a bin file in the main calibration to move to the E35. everything seems to be working so far though.
also , do I have to change the TCM settings in the WOT tables for rpm and MPH to have it shift higher?

well I found one answer.... quoted from DP
The latest update also requests you to move the file "M81.bin" from the E35 folder once you extract the zip.

You will find the file under \Program Files\EFILive\V7\Calibrations\E35
You need to move it to \Program Files\EFILive\V7\Configuration
M81.bin

Cheers
