Thanks for the reply guys, I can definitely understand room being an issue, never even crossed my mind.

I still want to put a stock Dmax in my '65 Malibu, I've kept ahold of my Banks Big Hoss Intakes just for that reason, mostly because I think it looks better too, but my plans are a remote mount s366-s475, no AC due to Intakes, and as big of a front mount intercooler I can make work in the narrow '65 framerails... Should be a fun driver, someday, if I ever get to it...and a 4l80 trans

Is there a particular reason you went fire rings over the O ring ?

Sounds like it would be a fun street car!

I've had better luck with the wire rather then the o-ring. Jeremy can do it ether way.

Injector swap difference

Here is some good info you guys that I know you don't see everyday so I thought I would share it. I just took Brett's 175%inj out and put my personal Exergy 500%inj with the redman mods to see the difference. Recap of the info,
Original setup made 1447hp 2304ftlbs at 88psi total boost/56psi atmos. boost 2275us 18-26* peak timing and saw a peak of 5582psi cylinder pressure.

My 500%inj made 1496hp 2350ftlbs at 100psi total boost/58psi atmos. boost 1400us 15-23*timing and saw a peak of 5100psi cylinder pressure.

As you can see by the dyno sheet it has more power across the board with more boost and does it with less cylinder pressure which is better for the motor.:thumb:

Did you turn it up and see what it could really do with those big sticks, Mark?

It hit peak hp sooner in the rpm range & stayed up there! That with less cylinder pressure is awesome! Great info Mark:thumb:

Actually yes I did, 1500us was the limit for the pumps but it actually dropped power down to 1454hp 2326ftlbs @358Bar and 1450us made 1489hp @361bar. The holdup in power production at this point is the factory clamp shells and 3"pipes. 1400us yielded the best power vs. pressure ratio for the setup. Really nice to have the info in black and white so you don't have the what ifs.

Thats a win, win situation right there. Congrats on the power levels, Mark and Brett and thank you for being so open with information that helps everyone.

So how does that information affect the current plans for the new motor? I think I saw Brett say he planned to stay with the clam shells he had now, but if that is the limit you are running up against now, I would think he would be throwing potential power out the window by doing that.
