Well Technically if you could put a gear vendors overdrive on an Allison you could in effect make it a 12 speed... :ROFLMAO:
I know this was supposed to be a joke, but you got me thinking. What would the actual split be? I feel some would probably be the same ratio as another gear so you may not actually get 12 gears. Maybe 8 or 10 ??? I guess I'd have to do the math to know for sure

Do you know how the Gear vendors works? I don't know what the split ratio is. They may have different ratios. One of the things they ask is the tire size and rear end ratio of your current set up.

It's been a long time since I looked into how they work. But a quick check on their website it says it's a 0.78:1 ratio

For the Allison,

1st 3.10
+GV, 3.88

2nd 1.81
+GV, 2.59

3rd 1.41
+GV, 2.19

4th 1.00
+GV, 1.78

5th 0.71
+GV, 1.49

6th 0.61
+GV, 1.39

R 4.49
+GV, 5.27

Looks like 3rd and 6+GV are all almost the same. 2nd and 4th+GV is also pretty close.
