86° ambient temperature... Floorboards temps in the cab... 108-125°....
Looking for heat/sound control products
That are spray/roll on...
I'm sure there's more than lizzard skid, Eastwood and quiet board
Having a would be pointless until that's fixed..
Links appreciated

I've had good luck using Heatshield Products brand but only have used the stiff aluminum shields you can bend in place and the 1/2" thick fiberglass/aluminum backed blanket. They also have adhesive back shields that double as heat barriers and sound deadening.

Insulation and carpet will go a long way in keeping the heat out of the cab.

i would put some heat reflective mat under the cab and on the firewall as well. not in the cab as it will just insulate the heat into the steel

The timing gear housing and flywheel housing both have to get replaced, both cracked and leaking oil....
So everything is basically getting pulled out, I'll degrease the oil coatings, and coat the underside of the cab, make a better effort to paint various parts, kinda pointless when everything is 50° or colder..
Heading back from Laredo TX....
Things I've learned recently or relearned, being 100+ heat index for 12+ hours 100+ temps for 9+ hours...
The Mutt, has minimal insulation, saw upwards of 140° on the floor board, and 110 on the roof,
Having all the AC components, but not installed, makes the AC highly ineffective,
Saw fivehead(body) temps of 101°
Cellphone gets extremely slow and moody at 117°
Can drink almost 3 gallons of fluid and barely pee

Under armour definitely works

That is effing baking you alive, my friend. I bet your feet love being roasted at 140°.

What do you say about the people who live in SW Texas? New Mexico Arizona where it gets even hotter?!?

140 was PS up again the firewall. Basically across from the turbo downpipe.... My foot area got low 120s

Difference is they are a bit more acclimated to the heat. Its also a lot drier there normally so the heat is bad, but humidity makes it 10x worse.

I live south of Houston and the humidity has been up here and in the 90's. Standing outside working on nothing and I sweat to the point it looks like I ran a marathon.

I spent 3 years on a tropical island, followed by 12 months in the Persian gulf in the summer. Water temp was 100° 40' below the surface... I never did get acclimated... Just learned to mitigate the heat and make sure that there is plenty of moving air

If your shoe isn’t melting on the floor board, your good. We are coming into the hottest month in AZ where the asphault will actually melt your shoes lol

Makes all the difference. I kept a bunch of old newspaper on the floor of my haul truck especially when I go out to West Texas. Not only did it keep the floor clean but it kept the heat off me. You could pick up the newspaper after a hard run out west Texas and the rubber floor would almost burn your hand.
