I have about 4500 miles on my '24 the one thing that really irritates me is the exhaust brake. i think it hits harder when i have my atv in the bed than when I'm towing. It's very inconsistent. The HVAC system on auto is brutal too, seems to blow on max forever

Towed my toyhauler up to new mexico for a hint this weekend with my dads 24. It pulls the hills 2-3mph faster than the 20 (no tune) which makes sense as the derringer on my 20 pulled the hills 2-3mph faster too.

His rear leaf pack does not squat nearly as much as mine does though. His is a short bed 2500hd zr2. Mine is a long bed 2500hd high country. I wonder if gm upped the leaf rating some on the newer trucks.

Overall they have their give and takes. I dont care for his gauge layout and the gauges themselves. Clicking on the “phone” app takes you to carplay instead of the trucks version of a bluetooth connected phone so i cant easily add another phone like my 20. It just takes a few more steps. The fold out steps are slow compared to my amp steps, found myself almost missing it a few times. Still hard as a rock seats lol

I do like that the turbo brake is stronger than mine. Better leaf pack. The trailer display when hooked to a trailer. The adaptive cruise

the screen couldn't be in a worse place, way too low. The shifter arm blocks half of it

The rear suspension is really soft on my used 2022. From what I saw, they’ve done some weird stuff and had additional top overloads on certain trucks. I haven’t really figured out what package it’s part of. My truck didn’t come up with an additional top overload. I ended up adding a road active suspension just to get my truck up 1” in the rear then at the front. My work trucks usually gross around 9500 pounds and at that weight the rear my truck was a little bit lower than the front according to the fenders, which I don’t think is quite accurate because I think they made the fenders an inch higher in the front than the rear on these. My 2015 and older trucks suspension was perfect for what I do.

The 3500hd gets 2 extra leafs for overloads that hit overload stops and maybe one other leaf in the pack, front gets a different torsion bar. Thats why i didnt go with a 3500hd in 2020. His 2500 leafs look just like mine but it certainly doesnt sag like mine.

Everyone I know that got a single wheel 3500 constantly complains about the harsh ride.
I have 30k on the truck now. No issues and my mileage has gone back up to what it was in the beginning. It changed after its last software update. I will say that the ride has changed. I have a section of concrete freeway that the beaming has gotten a little bouncer. Still love the truck.

Well I've joined the club for the 10 speed transmission taking a crap. Was leaving the KOH yesterday and got on the highway and a large bang/clunk from the rear end, reduced power, drive at slower safe speed came on the dash and a check engine. My SIL hooked up his EZ link and it just produced the generic P0700. Was able to drop the fifth wheel and side-by-side off at a friend's property in Lucerne valley and actually drove the truck to the dealership. Under load the tranny didn't like it but normal gentle driving was OK.
Waiting this morning for a phone call with a diagnosis.

Anybody know how legit they are?
They're saying even the new GM updated valve body isn't going to fix this for the long term.

The dealership is telling me they don't know when new parts will be available.

Fab rats installed a kit on his truck. It is supposed to fix the issues.

Well my 24 I have been fighting with the dealership on getting the charging system fixed. I does random weird things where the voltage will vary 12.5 -15.3. I can even get it to drop to 12.3.

Started after the truck was 1 year old and that's what concerns me.

Engine brake is odd for certain. I will say adaptive cruise does not use the engine brake when towing, It applies truck and trailer brakes first.

Anyone else with adaptive cruise ever set it when sitting at a light? Take foot off brake and it stays there until you tap the throttle pedal, then accelerates to set speed.

Im surprised they are looking at that voltage issue. Gm started using a different voltage strategy much like honda does a long while back on the gassers (not sure when they started this on diesels) but voltage will fluctuate from 12.5-15 depending on demand. Its another way to try to keep batteries alive longer and better mpg. Pretty sure my 2020 does it, never given it a second thought but ive had people bring me their gassers saying something is wrong with the voltage just like described and it’s operating as intended

Mine just thru a code for service ESC. Funny how this is all happening nearly at the same time? Something is a foot. I might disconnect my truck from the internet.
