The prices for them are insane - which is why I’ve been bottom feeding marketplace for so long! lol.
After the pix, I cleaned the upholstery and it came up nice too.
I would like to get a key for it. The old owner wasn’t offering a key - because he still drives his truck it came out of. But he says any nnbs key will open it up. Hmm. Have to see on that.

I visited an AC line shop and he said he can't repair the line. I ordered a new one, and my plan is to bend this one like the last but have them stub in a union to give me a little extra length. Then I can route around the turbo a little better. It astounds me how WC Fab can sell this kit for so much $$$ and not provide anything to help reattach the A/C. I'm stuck trying to bend and modify it to work (or not, lol).
What about something like the DEI fire wrap or there Heat Sheath

For today, I went to mount the JL Stealthbox. The shorted me some parts and the nuts that were supposed to be 1/4-20 weren’t. So I tapped them and temporarily mounted the box until I can get them on the phone, or just fab my own parts to finish.
Fit looks good, and the seats operate correctly I just have it in-place but not mounted for now. It’s safer than the garage or laying across the back seat.
I see some room on top for maybe a tiny DIY storage area. God knows I could use more interior storage, now that the sub occupies my former storage compartment.

I got a wild hair up my ass tonight and slapped in the new console. Sitting in the seat with it mounted felt GREAT!

A little progress this week in between the rain and work.
I fabbed the missing mounts to mount the sub. I yanked out the old wiring from the PO and wired and routed for the amp. I mounts the amp on a board and relocated the Jack accessories and mounting wing nut (sub required) and I wired up to the head unit.
I found a nut missing from the front grill bow tie was the cause of it slapping around. It was also in bad shape under the surface. So I gave it a little rattle can love and put it back on.
Today I ran to Foley Caterpillar and got a new battery with dual posts. I was going to go with a larger top post battery, but this seems easier. The Cat batt - advertised at 850CCA but the tag on the actual battery is 800. I didn’t test it yet, because it was a little low on charge so it’s on the Tender now.
This weekend is supposed to be nice, so hopefully a few more items will get checked off the list.

A little closer! Dual post battery is in under the hood. Replaced the pass side frame battery too - what a pain in the ass!

Quickie upgrade this morning. Belltech rear shock brackets to move the shocks into a more upright position after the lowering shackles flatten them some. Of course the driver side bolt meant the sway bar had to come down, and the exhaust came apart while I was under there… WTF?! LOL. All good now. Test drive ASAP

You can texture yours James, just hit it in the blast cabinet with walnut shell or volcanic ash at a low pressure.
