Hi everyone...
We are proud to announce our 3rd generation digital DSP-5 switches!
The 3rd generation digital DSP-5 switches build off of the 2nd generation switches with several new features listed below:
Display fades on at startup for a smoother/nicer look.
Display can be configured to automatically dim at night time. What this means is that when your headlights turn on at night, the display automatically dims for easy night time view. You can still dim the display during the day manually like the older switches, just now its automatic/linked to the headlights.
The "automatically dim at nighttime" feature can be turned on/off of course if you dont want the display to automatically dim at night.
Ability to turn the display OFF completely. If you are driving at night and want the display and button backlighting off completely, you can now easily turn it off. The DSP-5 switch is still "on" and active in the background, just the display gets turned off. In this "blackout" mode, if you press the "up" or "down" button to change turns, the display automatically turns back on for several seconds so you can see which tune you are changing to. After several seconds of button inactivity (IE, after you changed tune and leave the buttons alone), the display then smoothly fades back to "off".
The biggest feature of all though is that the 3rd gen switches are all plug and play. You no longer have to tap into separate +12volt ignition power and ground!! Just insert the pins on the DSP-5 switch harness into the appropriate pin positions on the ECM connectors and away you go. No more digging around under the dash trying to find a +12 volt ignition wire and ground wire!
The DSP-5 switch wiring harnesses are all pre-wired with the proper ECM pins, and the back of the DSP-5 switch has its own connector so its easy to run wires, etc.
The switches have gone down in price too; original price was $175, now the current price is $149. :thumb:
Thanks
Ben
