Working on setting the jib crane. Column and rotating head are set. Need a coupe extra set of hands for the trolley beam. Both of my sons are coming over tonight, hopefully we can get that hung and secure.

Had someone on the TDI forum ask if I can make more of the carbide rillers for the CP4. He wanted to purchase 6x of them from me. So I got out my diamond tooling and popped these out

Cut them from longer rods. Domed the polished the ends. Used 1 micron diamond paste to do the polishing. Green rouge does nothing to these.

These are used to replace the steel roller in the CP4 shoe. The piston can still twist in the bore but hopefully it won't fail as badly as it does here when it happens.

This might be the strangest item to fabricate, but I learned so much doing it! My friend asked me to make solid handles for his arm wrestling table. I turned 1” aluminum, drilled and tapped for a stud at the bottom, knurled the grip surface, and radiused the top to smooth it over. A mere 8hrs later and I finished last night. Lmao.

Made me a bucket carrying cart this morning

Been trying out a bucket, specifically those taller 7 gallon ones that we get our chlorine tablets in for a quick tool bucket that I can toss in whatever tools I'm going to need. Since I have a practically unlimited number I thought if one breaks, cracks or handle pulls off I can just grab another.

I sometimes get called to other hotels to do some kind of task force work or training of their maintenance guy. I hate lugging around a heavy tool bag with tools sticking out all over the side tearing up your legs. And those ready made tool boxes with wheels (pack out?) have such tiny wheels. Don't roll well over curbs, sidewalks, door thresholds, or other bumps. They also use hard plastic so are loud and can potentially leave marks on nice clean floors. Plus I can never find any in the smaller size that fits my needs. Another bonus is the bucket gives me enough height when I stand on them to be able to reach most light fixtures, bathroom fans or other ceiling mounted items. So it sorta doubles as a step stool

I decided I needed a cart to carry the bucket that has large soft wheels that is lightweight but strong. Can be adjustable for different height buckets. And can have the bucket easily separated from the cart to use as needed. Wheels salvaged from a baby stroller. Handle is 3/4" EMT

Only real issue is the cart doesn't stand up on its own without the bucket attached.

Pretty cool. Are those punch slugs that you bend and then weld?

Sent from my Pixel 6 Pro using Tapatalk
Just flat washers. Many call them fender washers with the smaller hole in relation to the larger size of the washer.

One washer as a base. Then bend them and tack weld them on. Build them up until it looks right. Then a nut on the bottom and then a stem. Two more washers for leafs

Those flowers are pretty cool. Would have to get me a bunch of ballistic gell and capture a handful of rounds. Wonder if water would work???

Wifey was paying for a storage unit and I said I could build her a shed for her stuff. It was a small 5x10 unit. After emptying the storage spot into my garage, I got started on the she shed. I poured the slab in 2023. For 2 years she asked when I was going to start on the shed. I had started drawing it up and also added an outdoor cooking area. I got tired of her asking when I was going to start and added shelves in my other shed to put her stuff. Then after looking and looking, I decided the shed would be too small for all her stuff to easily maneuver things in and out and deemed the “that’s what” she shed to now the me shed. So last month I started building the me shed with covered outdoor cooking area. I’ve got trim to do and going to ship lap the ceiling outside and run power to it, but it can be officially used as a shed now. Here’s some pics.
