Currently 57* with 60% humidity and clear skies. Makes for a nice day outside counting rental inventory and trying to get it straightened out

Had an employer like that with 2 week notice.. watched them do it several times.. showed up at starting time told them they have an empty truck turned my stuff in.... They asked where's the 2 week notice.. told them #1 I'm not required to give one in the state of Ohio.. #2 you don't Honor it so why waste my time?
Nothing against you personally brock, with the amount of no shows that are out there, firing a guy that gives a notice they are leaving doesn't rank high on my list.. assuming the guy doesn't **** off the remaining time or has a pattern of behavior as such

That wasn’t my choice to send him packing it was branch manger call. Pretty normal for this portion of the oilfield. Wasn’t a huge loss as I had to babysit this one a lot and the one leaving next Friday is the same way. In a way it’s a blessing.

I do agree with the if you give a notice you should honor it.

Some of the people where I work give two weeks notice and they honor it, some they term ASAP. If you give notice and they decide to term you, they should at least pay you out the notice. You were willing to continue to work for that time.

Meh, I’ve done it both ways. If they were let go immediately after giving two weeks, it was warranted. Had quite a few stick around for two weeks

At my employment it usually depends on the position you hold.

Exactly. If there is the possibility of you harming the company in any way you get walked out the same time you put your notice in. Same reason every employee signs a non disclosure agreement at time of employment. Nothing personal, just business.

Guys either get laid off, walk off job on me ,or they get fired. I’ve ever gotten 2 weeks notice I don’t think.

Grease trap is in and hole is filled with flow fill. Almost had to cut the shoring box out of the hole. Our excavator can lift just under 40k and I was pulling and wiggling the hell out of the box to get it out. Trashed my brand new 50K strap pulling it out. I was supposed to have one lane of the loading dock open by the 1st, but we lost over a week trying to get the grease trap in.

Friend of mine came by and said come look at this car. His aunt recently died (90 something) and this car has been sitting in her garage for 2 1/2 years. He hasn’t washed it or anything. It looks brand new. It’s a 1994 with 38k miles.

My wife had a beautiful blue '91 Z24 (remember the Cav I had to drive when my truck was down in 2010? That car). Quick little car for back then.

Flash backs lol! I had a GF with a yellow one back in high school. It was some special edition and everyone knew that car.
