Me too, how long u been wrenching? Got the cab off 2 6.4s and another one coming in
State Inspection & meeting for the construction proj. I last posted about. State Inspector was good with the area we had prepared. Can carry-on with the next phase of the project. :thumb:
Today I sorted & prepped 30,000 parts to test for an experiment. The first 4k will run over the long weekend, then I will update the test parameters and test the next batch when I get back based on what we see. Fingers crossed that we can get the performance we want out of these suckers.

Actually diesel wrenching 6 years.. Been wrenching since I could pick one up though.. I thought seriously about a career change recently. Realized I'm not good at anything but turning a wrench lol
8 years for me. So done with my feet killing me every day but idk what i could do that i would enjoy, be good at, and pay half decent.

Exactly... I LOVE working on dmax trucks but I don't get to often with all the other bs.. If I could have a dmax specific shop id like that. But it won't ever happen in my area.. Hell if I just had a more performance oriented shop Id be happier..
Didn't realize how stressful that place was till I left, been sleeping way better, and am generally happier :thumb:

We've had good luck.. Plus their warranty is great if it's needed. This is a 100% stock 6.4 truck
I made split stone veneer from granite countertop scraps to stick on someones wall just like everyother day.
A month ago I quit my job turning wrenches on the big 3's light duty diesels and went to work for Caterpillar. For the first 3 weeks I was stuck prepping new machines which was painfully boring. This week they finally turned me loose in the main shop and I'm liking it a lot better. I need to invest in bigger tools but it's all good. Replacing all a/c components on this thing tomorrow

Your not kidding. I worked for a at a race shop building motors and doing dynos and at first it was really cool. But sooooo much b.s to put up with. January something happened not worth discussing and it was the last straw.
My girlfriend says im much less of an asshole now that I have my own shop. Thats sad aint it? Im less stressed running my own business than i was working at the race shop. I told her not to worry, im sure ill be an asshole again, just takes time :roflmao:

Loaded 5 legal loads today, dodged some rain drops and backed into a guy at the contractor gate because I was pissed and not paying attention. Luckily the guy had less damage than me and was also driving a company truck so we shook hands and went our seperate ways.
Gonna bust the hammers and such out tomorrow and straighten the shittt bumper they put on these service trucks. Like it never even happened....
