What I've been working on that's not engine related. New outdrives needed a little custom lift. And there is no off the shelf 12" standoff box companies out there.

Finally found a low profile clamp that fits the injector fuel returns nicely. Actually stole idea off the internet. But since they are Ford part #, I'll claim it..

I've used 3/8" and 1/2" pex clamps a number of times. works great and is cheap. not sure if they make it in 5/16" though

They are called Oetiker clamps. ;)

From the interwebs:

They are a stepless type of ear clamp was invented by Hans Oetiker in Horgen, Switzerland, which eliminates steps or gaps on the inner circumference of the clamp. This is said to provide uniform compression and a 360° seal.

Oetiker is a family-owned business founded in 1942 in Horgen, Switzerland by Mr. Hans Oetiker - who invented the world's first ear clamp.

Having trouble keeping those lines on? Or just more preventative measures?
I kept knocking them off walking between the engines, so used some safety wire to hold em tight last year. Then kept sticking myself with the safety wire, so I began leaking.. See pic below.

Lowes and Home Depot list them in 3/8 SS for PEX, but neither had in stock. NAPA stocks the 5/16, figure give em a shot.

Wouldn't suggest for OEM plastic Tees due to the clamping force being pretty high.. Works well with the steel tees.

Relayed the discrepancy to Lorenzo. Says mine must have been custom packaged with 55ft lbs at Marks request... >>Not.

He did say their current stock reflects the correct spec of 32Ft Lbs for LLY/LBZ/LMM. But funny thing, my helper just did his engine last month, and recalls his package said 55 also. So check your specs before ya wrench. Cause bolt size maters.
IIRC Socal rocker shaft studs torque to 55lb-ft, so I wander if the spec stickers got switched around

Na looks like somebody made a copy paste error, since it's also labeled LLY/LBZ/LMM above torque spec.

After our nonscientific bench test, torqued all the rest down to 45-50lbs. Two reasons, Mark said he cranks em down tight as he can.. So I'll give him 45lbs tops on a 3/8 ratchet. LoL.. And we know the factory bolts start to twist to yield around 60lbs, and I pulled threads above 50lbs.

So figure that lands our 8mm ARP studs vs alum head thread strength somewhere safely in the 45-50lbft range.

If it does blow one out the head, I'll be sure to share it.

And par for the course, adding the adapter causes the fuel return line to land straight in a runner now.

Custom part # 1893 on the way..

What if you used a straight metric>AN then a tight 180 off of that or an metric>AN banjo with a tight radius 90 on it? I don't know if you're planning on going forward with the line or rearward.

Any reason you didn't want to use a metric to AN adapter and use a regular hose end instead of the banjo bolt?

Finally made it back out on the water with new outdrives pushing her yesterday. Totally forgot how sweet the sound of these puppies was. And seeing them spin 5k when props break loose out of the hole, knowing they are happy campers at that high rpm.

On side note however, believe Baby-A is still leaking air into coolant above 40lbs boost. Gonna switch to 6lb caps, but afraid we have a block related issue with that one. With this Evan's coolant, any pressure is sign of a leak. But gonna continue the testing until it shows itself, then address it..

Had some pix to share but uploads are failing.
