Why must I be a stickler for OEM parts? I retrofit TPMS into my 2003 and I know the 15114379 sensor works, but mine are now 10-11 years old so I want new ones. I have ordered 4 sets so far, with a 5th set on the way, and only 3 of the new sensors weren't 7+ years old.

They appear to manufacture these in batches, and I have seen a ton of sensors dated September 2019 and a handful of April 2022. Going to try and get 2 more of the April 2022 batch and roll with those, so cross your fingers the incoming order is fairly fresh.

Or I should just do the sane thing and put generic sensors in, no reason they shouldn't work fine. But I'm apparently too OCD for that

On the plus side, I did manage to find a set of new-old-stock 9597170 GMC hubcaps, so this should look awesome when it finally gets installed.

I had some strange things happen with OE sensors (or they were supposed to be OR). Had a set installed and nothing. Wouldn't trigger at all. Got them replaced and before having them installed, I tested them. They triggered fine, I paired them to the truck and they functioned as expected (showed 0pso). Had them installed and gone. '--' in the DIC, wouldn't trigger. Through trial and error, I discovered that they would trigger if I used some other vehicle profiles, but no 2004-2007 gm truck. Got a set of Autel MX sensors, programmed them, had them installed and haven't had an issue since.
