Purchased this truck about 2 months ago, 2004.5 3500 LT3 DRW 4X4 CCLB. The truck came with a cat back 5", Edge Evolution, Banks Ram Air. I have a pretty heavy camper (~4300lbs loaded), my first trip with the truck the way it came, I was noticing EGT's creeping up and having a hard time keeping things below 1300. Wanting to protect my investment and keep the truck cooler, I installed a Mishimoto intercooler and hot side pipe, S&B turbo inlet, LB7 front pipe (cat delete) and a 3" downpipe.
Took the camper out again this weekend and had two instances of EGT's spiking to 1500+ degrees. Both times, I wasn't under a ton of load and had to almost completely back off and feather the throttle to keep the EGT's down to get me to the side of the road. I let the truck idle for a few minutes, shut it off, cycled power to the tuner, got back on the road without further issue. The first time I was using the Tow program the second time I was using the stock program. Other than these two isolated instances the truck worked great, EGT's were down around 1000-1100.
Any insight as to what might be happening is greatly appreciated.
