That really screwed up the pistons on the caliper, too. Sorry to see it.
Thanks James I guess that would explain the problem.... They haven't been coming loose though. I've checked them like every day for a week, but I'll put a torque wrench on them still now. That's what I get for thinking I know what the torque spec should be on a fastener that size.According to prodemand, it’s 55 foot pounds for the guide pin bolt and 221 pounds for the caliper bracket

What year? My mom's impala isn't like that, cover has one bolt I think. But yes, we pulled the intake for the rear plugs, not as bas as you'd thinkWhat dumb SOB engineer at GM designed the 3.6 engine cover as part of the air intake? Good god, trying to see where that clamp on the TB is at is not easy.....not to mention having to take the intake manifold off just to access the spark plugs. Ah well, it is what it is, and we deal with it, right?
