S480/96/1.32 over gated 62/65/14

Has anyone ran this setup before? I’m currently running a s471/87/1.10 single on my lb7.

I already have a s480 on the shelf, I’m not sure what to run for a base charger. My first thought was a 66/.91ar.

I run an S300 with a 64.5 mm billet wheel and a 70 mm turbine in a .83 T4 housing over an S400 with an 80 mm batmowheel and a 96 mm turbine in a 1.10 T6 housing. It spools very well and makes good power.

you can throw that 480 over your stock charger and make good power still. i ran a 480 over my modded stock turbo with 45% overs and dual pump, made 800rwhp. since then im still running the same modded stock IHI but with 100% overs and a precision s483/96 t6 with billet TCT wheel and race cover. its hovering around the 1k mark now but this is not proven via dyno or track yet.

My stock charger is long gone. What is comparable to the stock charger?

stock turbo is 60.5mm compressor with a 68mm turbine on a tight housing.

if it were me, i would look at a 64 or 63 SX-E turbo to drop in there. great flowing turbo and one of the quickest spooling fixed geometry turbos. since you dont have the option to go to a variable vane being an 01, i think you would like this best. put a .90 housing on it and may not even need a gate depending on how hard you plan to drive the twins.

Please fill out your sig. Do you have a built motor? Built trans? Lift pump? 85% over is what, a 10mm pump? 10mm is pushed pretty hard at 800-850hp.

S362/S363/S364sxe with the larger turbine & 1.0 housing (to help keep drive in check without a gate) paired with a S480/96/1.10T6 should spool well and make enough air for 800 IMO.

85% over pump is an II pump. i dont trust them and have you ran this engine to see if it will hold 3000uS pulse without draining rail? you will need about that or maybe a bit less to hit that HP goal with the 480 over these chargers.

the 62/65/14 has a smaller turbine than the stock dmax charger. its going to choke up fast in the upper rpm and im not even saying upper rpm beyond the stock 3250. i wouldnt run it. much better options out there.

Yes it will hole 3000, the rail relief is plugged. The engine made just under 700 hp 5 years ago now I finally have time to crank it up some more. I’m leaning toward the 64 sx e .90 with a gate installed for a base charger.
