I am building a custom Duramax hot rod (59 GMC task force 2-ton) on a LBZ body.

Everythign got stripped down to the frame and sandblasted.

during that time i split the front diff case halves since it was weaping through the two case halves.

I have put the thing back in, but i noticed that the bolt holes on the drivers side have some adjustability.

My question is, do i just slap her in and tighten up the bolts, or are the slotted hole meant for adjusting the front pinion angle of the front diff?

Thanks very much in advance guys.

It's been a while since I've been in one, but I thought you turned the threaded rings at the ends where the axles go to adjust the gear mesh. Same for the pinion. If you just split the case and resealed it and put it back together you should be ok

I may not have been clear: i am asking about physically bolting the case back into the frame:

I was sort of thinking that myself: mass production of these frame should have some wiggle room built into them.
