I pooped a piston in original engine with a 4094. So found a smoking deal on a junkyard take out engine stock also and did compounds and bigger injectors hoping for safer tuning and longer live and it blew a cylinder in under 4 months. So now time for a fancy bottom end and put her for sale lol

You were warned! Haha. Kudos on the positive attitude

Are 30% really enough to make that big of a difference in keeping a bottom and safe?

Not sure. 30% are probably close to 100hp my guess would be. Truck had more power then stock fuel and air on a 230 tune. I said I wanted 550whp max. Figured that’s enough to make it somewhat conservative but my driving habits are not

Wanting to delete my resonator. Will a regular pvc rubber plug work? (like the ones at home depot) or should i go with a machined one from an online source?

A regular one will work, but you probably want to safety pin or safety wire the bolt. That way if the nut backs off, the bolt can't fall into your turbo.

Just spend the money on the proper plug. If you go the cheap route you will usually spend the money again on the better part later....

Shop called and said block, heads, rotating assembly, and everyone else is ready to be picked up. All they want is some money now.

Ordered some conn rod HX bearings. Shop said the H bearings spec’d on the tight side, and I’d rather be on the loose side.

Best oil to use for daily driving? Been using rotella synthetic is there better out there to use?
This isn't something you did to your truck today. This is a general question, and questions should be in their own thread. Not this question, but in general. Do a search, you'll find tons of info.
NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! :bdh: :beatdeadhorse:

Right? As if we haven't covered oil brands, viscosity, and change intervals to death already.

Today I finally found a combination of programming that has my truck working 95% how I want. Finally found a VIN to load up in the BCM that enables TPMS, memory seats, delay locking, and multiple drivers.

I still can't get the tire pressures to show on the DIC, but the light works as it should now. I can always read the pressures with the Tech2, but I'm not giving up yet.

Went to go start the race truck today and it spewed oil all over the place, like alot of oil. Upon further investigation the big turbo oil feed got a hole rubbed in it. Sure glad it happened at home and not somewhere on the road.

Fresh trans update with Alto G3 and Goerend R converter installed. Tweaked the shift points a bit and overall the trans is very happy. Fresh Bilsteins on all four corners installed. Next up is to swap the 45% over injectors back in, tone down the tune up, and swap out the Toyo Proxes with some good AT tires for winter driving.
