That intercooler is a beast, I gave them good look over in person when I was on leave and would have to say it is one of the best crafted pieces out there. You cant go wrong with the products DTS puts out :thumb:

Stock IHI turbo for now, only making about 24-25psi at my elevation. EGT's cruising at 70 are down almost 80-degress, and this is at just 2-3psi, when compressor discharge temps are low. I'd imagine one you're doing some towing and running higher consistent boost levels, that EGT drop will be even more noticeable.

Thanks for the update. I think my stock one took a shit. I'm curious how this will hold up to high boost levels, is any body running one making 70-80lbs or more?

We have more gussets welded inside the tanks that not only add strength but they are placed and bent to divert the incoming and outgoing air into and out of the core of the intercooler. The straps are placed exactly where they need to be to support the tanks where the internal gussets are not. We also add a crease in the middle of each strap to strengthen the strap so it adds lateral stabilty to the tanks for balloon prevention. Hope this clears up your questions DMAXD.

Compressor discharge temps go well over 300-degrees at 24-psi...can't imagine what they look like at 35+, I see no reason to push this stocker any harder.

My egts werent horrible for a 3250 pw around 1550-1600 ya i couldn't tell you the temps on the intake side im sure my billet 66 gets warm to at 45psi hopefully cash will alow for a new intercooler

Can you....yes, but from what I understand it's not practical. You would need a very large (and therefor heavy) tank of cold water (or other liquid) to circulate and keep cool for long trips.

Most pullers will see a rise in there tank temps from a 300 ft pull, I can only imagine what would happen on a 300 mi trip.

It's one of the reasons many people are upset if they hear A/W intercoolers are allowed in a "street" class as they are really not practical on the street.

I have a 4094 but plan on having Danville mod it to a 72mm. also plan on a mild motor build. Seems like somethig I'd want to do while the truck is already apart. I guess we'll see what the budget looks like when the time comes.
