2002 Duramax LB7 - 216000 miles

Injectors, FPR, 1 glow plug module and right head (cracked) replaced last August.

In the past 2 weeks, my truck has got to where it's hard to start. Turn the key and it turns over but the started turns for many seconds until it finally starts like it finally gets some fuel pressure. Once it starts the engine idles smooth, doesn't surge and purrs like a kitten. (A friend told me I may have a hole in the return fuel line (but there's no fuel leaking anywhere (that I can see).)

Anybody got any ideas?

Next time you let it sit and need to start it pump up the filter before trying to start it. If it fire up like normal then its a leak if it still starts hard then its something else.

also, you can replace the fuel line coming out of the filter with a clear hose and look for bubbles. that will tell you if you are getting air in the lines
