2001 duramax. I was driving down the road and all off a sudden a wierd vibration noise started that only happened when i pressed on the pedal. I have a BAD rear u-joint that makes all kinds of weird noises ( squeak, slight pop, crunching down type noise) so i kept driving thinking it was that and ready to go ( of course 1.5 hours from home). then all off a sudden my truck went into limp mode. I cleared it and tried to move forward and it did for a few feet then slipped back into limp mode. I get out of the truck and i have a MASSIVE amount of fluid on the ground. looked a little closer and seems to be coming from between the trans and transfer case. Looks like there is a adapter between or maybe its the tail housing? But anyways you can see its running from the top of trans and its not just a drip, im talking a stream. Any ideas what kind of repair im looking at? Im having all kinds of trouble with this truck and ive only owned it since july.
