Have fill the crankcase up for that to happen... Talking 6-6-7 gallons of fluid..

unless the crossover cracked into a bolt hole connected to it. then it would just weep out the head of the bolt since the mid plate is rtv'ed to the back of the block and around the bolt holes. looking at the mid plate on teh block side, if an o-ring let loose, it would leak out one side or the other through some open areas casted in so i dont see it getting through a bolt hold.

O rings are or were good until I removed them... Gues I'll build a blocking plate and pressure test the cross over... I think 175psi should show up somewhere
Thats one funny looking sling pattern there. Are you certain it was coolant? What did you use for assembly lube? Was there any lube in that rear main when you installed it?
All this happened recently... Seals go on dry

How much coolant loss were you seeing?

Some of the cover plate bolts get close, if not into the water jacket on the block. Did any of the bolts have coolant residue on their threads?

Yeah that's a lot. About the same as mine was with pinholes in one head...

Ouch that's gotta hurt. What block number is that for the year and for the truck?

Are you going to put another one in it to make the end of the year or focus on the Mutt?

Neither block... got installed December 2015...been ringed twice and bearings once,
And yes all in on the FL60.. I'm not sure what's in store for this truck... 478k of hard miles on the chassis it's not worth much. Get more out of a part out or repowering something with it... Or sled/drag truck
