Hot side upper turbo boot blows off

I have had my upper hot side turbo boot pipe boot blow off and I got new boot from XDP. The inside of the boot has a ridge on one end and smooth on the other, is there a specific direction this boot should be installed?

If this is for the stock intercooler pipe, the end with the rib goes to the pipe, and the smooth end goes to the turbo.
