Group 31 driver's side Batt

I'm looking to toss in a top post Group 31 in my LB7's driver side battery area. I plan to rewire too, but I don't have the time to do that until May. I see that they make a top post clamp that has a threaded base for converting most side lug trucks to top post batteries: https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p...ost-battery-to-side-terminal-45133/12257760-P . Does anyone know if this will work for now until I re-wire? Thanks!

They make batteries with both top and side posts. What is the reason you are wanting to get rid of the factory cables? DIY and most aftermarket cables are not very good quality. I see more issues with people trying to hack cables to change ends than I see with factory side post cables.

I plan to rewire to nice new thicker wire. Since top post is more plentiful and a group 31 is very powerful and cheap, it’s what I plan to use. What I didn’t consider is that the frame box may not allow for a 31, and I want to run two of the same battery… so looks like it’s on hold until after my busy season.
