Looks like a standard automotive relay. Napa, AutoZone, etc should have them. Maybe not with the mounting tab but everything else should be the sameI have a quick question. I’m having a hell of a time trying to find this relay for the fass system. Anyone know where I can find one. Them they to be discontinued. And I don’t trust the ones of Amazon.
When my airdog relay went out the truck would not shutoff, even with batteries disconnected. The airdog jumps off the ignition fuse, and is took 4 years for the relay the go bad, so I can't complain.Just to give some context. I shut the truck off and the fass kept running, pulled the relay off and it stopped. Put the relay back in while the truck was off and the pump kicked on again. I was able to find a new relay and it seemed to fix the issue for nonow
I would think if the relay keeps burning out, then the motor may be going bad, pulling more current similar to a starter motor going bad. Just my .02.
Also, moved these posts to their own thread in Fuel System section.
I've had 20A motors with 10ga and 8ga wire fused at 25A, melt "30A and 40A" 100% relays. Mainly it would melt the insulation inside the solenoid of the relay.Something is wrong if it’s melting the relay though. On a lift pump Id look at the connections and wire quality/size for the run.
That is true for that ones shown above. The duel rating if followed by a "Res" means resistive load. Probably didn't explain that well enough as it could easily be confused with the different ratings of the NO & NCI always understand to the dual rating was one was for NC and other was for NO default setting.. usually found on 5 pin relays
Pretty common actually.Interesting. A Hella headlight relay.
