There was a company that made a 6 lug floater hub but they went out of business. If you look on PT.net on the thread I posted. AxisT6 welded them up and re drilled them for one he built for a Tahoe. https://www.performancetrucks.net/f...-22/10-5-full-floating-14-bolt-6-lugs-528236/I have yet to see anyone make a hub that converts floater 8 lug size down to non-float 6 lug. If those above actually were that, you'd still have to have custom axles made, too.
You can put 8 lugs front hub/knuckle assembly on a 1500. But it messes with the alignment and the top ball joint angle is not optimal. I think you need a fabricated style arm to help correct for it. I had someone do it but the truck was stolen before he changed the arms out to see if it would correct the alignment. From what I remember, You also have to use a thick washer as the tapper is larger on the 2500 knuckle and it runs out of exposed thread on the ball joint. So in order to tighten the nut he used a thick washer, and he put some miles on that truck too like that... almost 250 miles 1 way to come down where I am.
He had installed a 2500 NON HD 9.5 rear axle and the front knuckle hub assembly from the same truck on his ride. He was rolling around on stock 8 lug PYO Wheels.
