I have yet to see anyone make a hub that converts floater 8 lug size down to non-float 6 lug. If those above actually were that, you'd still have to have custom axles made, too.
There was a company that made a 6 lug floater hub but they went out of business. If you look on PT.net on the thread I posted. AxisT6 welded them up and re drilled them for one he built for a Tahoe. https://www.performancetrucks.net/f...-22/10-5-full-floating-14-bolt-6-lugs-528236/

You can put 8 lugs front hub/knuckle assembly on a 1500. But it messes with the alignment and the top ball joint angle is not optimal. I think you need a fabricated style arm to help correct for it. I had someone do it but the truck was stolen before he changed the arms out to see if it would correct the alignment. From what I remember, You also have to use a thick washer as the tapper is larger on the 2500 knuckle and it runs out of exposed thread on the ball joint. So in order to tighten the nut he used a thick washer, and he put some miles on that truck too like that... almost 250 miles 1 way to come down where I am.

He had installed a 2500 NON HD 9.5 rear axle and the front knuckle hub assembly from the same truck on his ride. He was rolling around on stock 8 lug PYO Wheels.

Yup. 99-00 2500 spindles, which have a 1500-size tie rod end. Flip the upper arms, use an offset ball joint and a stainless steel ball joint "adapter" and away you go. Thats how i set mine up.
PY0s on a 1500 look nice. 20250814_211825.jpg

Did you know they made PYO in 6 lug? Very rare because they were an accessory Item but there are a few set out there.

What's the ball joint adapter you mentioned? It fit's the taper???

Yeah I remember him being off about 1-2 degree in Camber I believe and either needing offset bushings or offset Ball joint to correct it. I don't recall flipping the arm. Was that to give a better angle on the ball joint?

He had some tubular lift arms that we were going to modify. The truck was stollen shortly after I swapped the engine/trans and set on fire. Because it was set on fire we aren't sure they actually took anything. The motor was char broiled... Could have been a jealousy thing. Maybe he beat the wrong person street racing or something...

I had to google that. Too funny -- a 6 lug PY0 with integrated center cap.

Look up "ball joint taper bushing". Yup....they're a thing. I forget where I bought mine, its been so long ago. Its in my 1/2 ton thread somewhere.

Those Moog offsets are some heavy-duty pieces. In that pic, the joint is turned completely inward.

Yes, flipped the arms to give a flatter mount for the ball joint, considering the 2500 spindle is a couple inches taller than the 1500, but aftermarket would be better. I actually read about doing that on PT, so I gave it a try.

Ok, I know what your talking about. I just wanted to make sure I understood correctly. I will have to look for it to find the right size cause there are a few variations of them.

I was like a mad scientist in that thread. So many wacky ideas. Some worked, some didnt. :ROFLMAO:
haha. got to try things to see what works... damn CST is proud of those bushings but I bet there are others that offer the same thing for less
