Bill Lutz is your uncle? I'll be darned. Ive read threads about him and his car(s) over on YB. Heck of a racer. Condolences on the carnage.

As to the "snipped" topic -- been there since 2000. Pretty weird you have to have your wife "sign off" on doing it, then she gets to be in the room when the doc does the procedure. My wife was chuckling while it was happening.

Yep. He’s my uncle.

Idk how active he is on YB now but he used to be pretty big into there.

So, we adopted a dog from animal control about a week ago. Usual problems when integrating one into a home. He was neutered before he left animal control. Our vet put him on steroids and anti-inflammatory as a result, so it's hard to tell if some of his behavior is related to the meds or just him acclimating to a new space.

I get home from work yesterday a bit later than the norm. Let him out of his crate and notice he's peed in his crate. Kinda of odd, but again he was in there for almost (6) hours so??????? I let him outside, take the crate apart to clean it and move on.

I'm doing a couple honey-do items in the house while trying to watch him. Then I see he's peed on the floor. At this point he's only been back inside for less than 20 minutes. By the time I clean that up, he's peed again, total of (3) accidents in the house in a 30-minute window.

Needless to say, I'm a bit pissed myself by now, I mean we just built this place, everything in it is new.

Side bar to all of this is my wife's iRobot vacuum. She bought it a few months back, I'm like yeah whatever. But it has not been functioning correctly. iRobot has sent out a new base and some other crap; she's been handling it and I'm happy to stay out of it.

She gets home from work yesterday, (it's her birthday) see's all the aftermath of piss fountain I've been dealing with and obviously isn't happy. Did I mention the house is new?

Then she looks at the app for the vacuum. It finally did function correctly yesterday. For the first time in weeks. First time since the dog has been in the house. So, the dogs crate? Wasn't there when the robot mapped the house. The vacuum enters the room where his crate is at and proceeds to bump into it, repeatedly. Probably 30 or more times as it remapped that room.

Now we can see why he peed all over, probably thought that vacuum was trying to get to him. Literally scared the piss out of him.

Moral of the story? Hell, I don't know. Maybe technology is great, until it isn't?

Pic is the vacuum's coverage yesterday. Red arrow is where his crate was.

We got one of those also.

My dog hates it. She beats the hell out of it. It was all good until one day she was asleep on the floor and the wife fired it up and the damn vacuum cleaner sucked her ear in. She’s a springer and has long floppy ears. It’s been whichever since. Guess she holds a grudge. ?

Oh man that sucks! Hope he was ok?
This was his worst close encounter. Lol

Torque converter blew up right at the finish line and then all hell broke loose.

He was on fire from the trans fluid. Car was on fire. Blew the motor up when it over revved. They pulled an all nighter and got it back together for the following day. That was the last pic with the bandaid.

He actually spun it out at the very end trying to get it stopped and put it into the wall.

18* right now, thats actually warmer than it was this morning. Wind chill was 4*. Went to market this morning, and wifey was bitching at me to slow down walking into store. I glanced at her and said, "Its f-ing COLD out! Meet me inside!" Keep in mind Ive got longjohns, coat, knit hat and gloves on, and I was still cold! Yes, I am old.

We've been having a weird cold front with constant overcast and fog for that last few weeks. It's weird because you can go to the bay area and it will be sunny. Up the hill towards placerville and again sun. Down near Sacramento is all cold and foggy.

We just had 30 minutes of sun break through the clouds later today just before the sun went down.

Temps have been low 40s at night but only coming up to low 50s during the day. Some days it stays in the 40s. Not as cold as you guys out there but for us in California it's a change we aren't used to.

Doesn't bother me much. But I'm hearing a lot of complaints about how cold it is. I think it's that it's also accompanied by 90+ percent humidity all the time. Everything is always wet and nothing dries. We're used to California being dry, even in winter. But not how

It’s going to be 19 degrees tonight at the beach in NC so I know it’s cold everywhere else except maybe Florida. I hope everyone is somewhere warm and safe.
I think it was like 7* here when I got up this morning.... Supposed to be in the 50s or 60s next weekend.... Talk about yo-yo weather.
