I drained around 5 gallons of water from the tank before it switched to diesel. Customer assumed he was sabotaged but didnt know why or how. But then called back and said he drilled 1 hole wrong for his bed floor mounted toolbox. So i checked, and sure enough, a big hole drilled right thru the fuel tank. Patched it up with fuel tank putty without removing tank because everything is so rusty i know it will be a disaster.

Fast forward a week and a half tank of fuel burned and its back running at max rail psi and setting a P0090.

Wow. Who would have guessed

I would check the regulator. Debris might still be making it's way through the lines.

Well, i found the ECMRPV 15amp fuse was crappy condition, not visibly blown. Replaced it and fixed the rail pressure issue(the P0090). But it running at 26k rail pressure masked a cyl 7 misfire. Balance rate at +15(max) & cyl 4 will sometimes do the same. Honestly was surprised last week at how well it ran after the water debacle but id say its taking its toll now.

Yeah. I was surprised you got it running so easy. I would have expected at least some rust that may have developed in the injectors. Looks like you might just want to replace them all
