Can you say dangerous? Track was way to short.

Cat a max is totalled. Hit the barrier.

My motor is coming out as well, not sure exactly what's wrong but it will be out shortly. Your truck going to be a killer dude! I'm going a similar route, definitely going with Cast pistons though cause mines a DD.

No, but a few guys in my club have had multiple issues with cranks until they switched over. im not sure about LB7 cranks because they are stronger, but if your keeping the LBZ Crank then I would def do it.

Got the motor build figured out. Either gunna run fingers oval cast Pistons or CP Forged with valve relievers. Alt firing cam, pinned water pump, keyed crank and cam, new oil pump, race bearings, girdle & bolt kit, billet mains, external balance, flywheel.

Well I got a job at a local diesel repair and install shop. I actually enjoy it a lot, it's part time (about 30hrs a week) mixed with school, so some of my savings for the motor build went towards tools and such.

Going to pull the head tomorrow and inspect the damage. (I'm home from school for winter break and it kills me to not wrench on the truck when it's just sitting there)

At this point I have nothing to lose with this motor, so if the cylinder wall isn't damaged too bad, I'll throw another piston in it and see how long she runs

Also, motor build plans for this truck have changed a bit. Going to be more of a street 800 hp build (if the stock piston replacement doesn't work). This truck will eventually be the tow truck for a single cab.
