Got to install a couple of sets of bags in the morning. THANKS for the info. I usualy only put about 10psi in before torqueing them. Do you get any hoping on the street launching in 2wheel with bags and Caltracs?

Here's the problem, when your suspension is extended, it lines up one way. When it's all the way compressed, it lines up about 2" different. If you tight your bolts with the suspension extended, if you bottom out, it will "twist" the hardware and bags.

I think bars to keep the sled from mounting your truck wth no bumper.

That's what insurance is for! :D

Seriously, that's a risk. I've seen what happens when you break and get nailed by the sled.

Heck, Craig Johnson deliberately did it to show us what happens! What a guy! Send him a PM (CJohnson) and ask him.

;)

Feels OK with no swaybar. I image it would be a problem at high weights, but since the T-Bars are so stout, you can't tell it's gone.

Stiff front spring rate + stiff swaybar = serious understeer. Since I have no sway in the rear, it's not a problem.

Well, the dampening in the front is not enough. When you hit gentle undulations at freeway speeds, it wallows 3 or 4 cycles. Rear is fine. Feels like a 1-ton dually.

Need different shocks.

Thanks for the pics Pat, I have a feeling some of those ideas will come in handy on Simon's little project around here....not sure where we're going to go with suspension adjustments yet. But I have a feeling it will be a bit of a hurdle...

It takes a significant shock to keep the front in control. Also, I have found that limiting the travel of the front suspension without very very stiff shocks will cause bouncing. I tried limiting blocks of different materials and found the softer blocks bounced less, but still unacceptably.

There is a one step stiffer torsion bar for the front available that I always wanted to try. ;)

So then maybe a basic hydraulic shock would be better than gas? Or maybe to slow to respond?
