Parts and tuning is ordered! Got a week off in May, thats when this'll get done, unless the P2002 and P24D1 sideline the truck first. Those f-ing codes really tick me off.

I’m shopping around for one of these myself. I need something to daily drive that doesn’t sound like a nascar with a blower.
2006/2007 GMC CC/SB LBZ would be nice.

Disappointing from a diesel stand point or just truckwise? Dad bought a ‘25 turbo 4 cylinder and he loves his. Coming from a ‘16 Audi A6 TDI.
Mileage flat-out sucks.
Truck is a total dog. Power isnt on par with what Im used to out of a vehicle.
Constant P2002, P24D1, P24B1, P1476 codes.
If I do the deletes those things might change? Maybe a 100hp tune would help? Do I even want to risk any of that?
Drivers seat is very uncomfortable to sit in, almost feels like Im "folded up" in it. If the rear of the seat was physically raised an inch, it might help.
Taking the Vette to the Westphalia car show next Thursday. Going to put a ForSale sign in it and see what comes of that, too.
What were you expecting mileage wise? On another board there is a guy who also has a Canyon diesel and he said the mileage is great. His is not weight lossed.
My dad is a big man (read fat) and I haven’t heard him complain of the seat. I’ve drove it a couple times and thought it was comfortable but no long trips He only tows his jet ski with it.
High 20s at least, and power to get the hell out of its own way from a stop.
I get into the truck and feel like Im sitting in a "V", pinched at my waistline. The seat bottom is tilted upward toward the front, and unlike our trucks, the power up/down is not separated front to back so the angle cant be changed. I did not notice this until I started driving the truck after working all day.
Oh well. Mistakes happen.
The Mastercraft AT/MT tires the p/o put on the truck started humming pretty badly, and I wanted to move on from the ugly-to-me chevy wheels anyway. Found a set of Canyon 17s on Marketplace, and bought a set of 265/70R17 Nokian One HTs off TiresEasy for -- get this -- $108/pc! No more hum and I like this look better.
...and no, I havent gotten to the diet and tuning yet. Im "tolerating" the low mileage and every-week DTCs right now.

These freakin tires are quiet. We took a trip and could actually talk to each other at a normal volume. I'll use the Mastercrafts in the winter.
Also, found spacers for the seat on Ebay. Got those coming.

1-1/4" spacers raised the rear of the seat up far enough where the seat is now comfortable. Im sitting in more of an "L" position now instead of a "V".
Im starting to think this truck belongs in Ike's "Seriously?" thread. Not even 78,000 miles, and the brakes start grinding. WTH? I get online, buy all four corners (because I wont half-ass it) and start into it.
Front pads worn with the inside pads no longer making full contact. Rotors rusted as a result. Great.
Rears worn right down to the metal, esp on inside. Rotors wiped out. Unbelievable.
Makes me wonder what the hell was the previous owner doing and to question if the mileage on this truck was accurate or faked.
While in there, I find that the drivers hub was replaced some time in the past with a CarCrap unit. Has play. Pass side is OEM, but also has play. Got those ordered and they'll get done.
While removing the rear rotors, the parking brake shoe material broke off the brackets. So, got those ordered too, along with new hardware. Just cant use the pb until I go back in and fix them.
Its just one thing after another with this truck. But as Eric used to say, "At least its fixed now." When the UPS money comes in, Ill get this POS paid off.

I’ve been following your troubles Tom, it has made me pause and look into a smaller sized van for the daily work vehicle.
I’ve bought a total of 5 used vehicles in my life. 2 of them absolutely screwed me over.
I've bought 5 also, and all have been good
I've bought 1 brand new vehicle.
Shoot, Ive bought probably 50 over the years, only had three/four lemons.
In the previous owner's defense:
In Michigan, if you dont keep up on brake maintenance bi-annually at least (lube pad slides, check pad fit, check caliper for leaks/rust), the pads will hang up and cause these issues.
Our roads are so rough, hubs dont last as long as they would elsewhere. The overly raised front end may have added to that problem, too.
The power issue may just be my being used to vehicles that can accelerate quickly. This truck is slow to get going, BUT it can sneak up on you if you arent paying attention at speed. New tuning will probably fix that acceleration issue, if not there are larger turbos available.
The exhaust issues, well.....I just havent gotten to that. Too busy.
If you arent a mechanic, or OCD, this shit happens. I guess Im coming off as negative simply bc I dont think a 70,000 mile vehicle shouldnt have these issues if kept up normally.
