....and boy, did the Lions stink up the stadium last night against the Chargers. Looks like there's a big dropoff in talent from our starters to our reserves. Yikes.

Meh. College is better.

Fall training started this week. ?
I wasn't a huge football fanatic to start with, college ball was about the only thing I watched as far as sports go. But I just can't get over how they've changed things and these kids getting paid / traded. Use to be a cardinal sin if one of the players made a dime on the side...

Oh, in other news......I received my official "letters of retirement" from UPS yesterday via email. They processed my application very quickly.
Applied for the buyout and was accepted, just waiting on the paperwork to sign. So, August 31st is my last day.

I don’t watch any sports on TV anymore, I used to love college football and basketball but the last 5 years they have destroyed it with the NIL program. I’ll probably never watch it again. Pro sports aren’t my thing, grown ass men playing a game and making more than someone who actually contributes (teachers, etc) to society. Most like 79% of the NFL players have violent felonies on their records. I can’t support it, then they started kneeling during our anthem and teaching young kids to hate their country, glad I never participated. Fuck the NFL… Rant over…

Nervous? Or ready to not have to go to work? How many times are you going to wake up thinking you gotta get ready for work, only to remember that ain’t happening?

A little. Its more melancholy and reflection than anything else. Started saying goodbye to customers Thursday. That's what I'm going to miss the most....interactions with them.

We went to Jr Olympics for Taekwondo. Didn't get to do any sparring, because that's only for the older more experienced. So she did board breaking. Flying kick and speed hook kick breaks. It was her first time competing in board breaking. We didn't train like we should have, but she did good. She didnt tell her coach where to hold the board like she should of, so she was kicking a little high and didn't break them all. It was a fun experience but we basically just bought her gold metals, because there wasn't anyone for her to complete against. Which was a bummer.

I never have been into watching sports. I'm all for college kids getting paid. They always have it was just under the table. I worked for a Ford dealer that had better players driving brand new cars with dealer plates. Cops never pulled them over. We had one if them sitting there when we opened after it hit a tree and it reaked of booze. Colleges make a killing off them, so why shouldn't the kids. Plus some of them suffer the rest of their lives for competing at that level. Might as well get something out of it.

That last kick was pretty cool.

Does look like shes over extended on the height and can't get much power in it
