Is this thing bone stock? The list below assume it's bone stock. I have done probably 2 dozen or so with the recipes below and ALWAYS been happy with them. Personally I like to run a 364.5/80/0.91 and 238/100% for my goals. There isn't any "downside" that I've found to this combo and it'll make one hell of a fun driving 7.3 that can do anything. Essentially this is like stock fuel/air/built trans 01-16 Duramax HP levels.
425-475whp:
1) E-fuel (I like Beans and Irate systems)
2) 203/30% or 238/100% (my preference is 238/100%)
3) S364.5/80/0.91 (great up to ~500-525whp) w/intercooler
4) Plenum upgrade
5) Tuning
6) Decent clutch
7) Head studs
8) Valve springs
9) Pushrods
10) If he needs an HPOP he could run an Adrenaline
500-550whp:
1) E-fuel (I like Beans and Irate systems)
2) 205-250cc/80-100% (hard to go wrong with a 238/100%)
3) S364.5/80/0.91 (great up to ~500-525whp) w/intercooler, 366/80/0.91 for 550-575hp, 369/80/1.00 for 550-600whp
4) Plenum upgrade
5) Tuning
6) Decent clutch
7) Head studs
8) Valve springs
9) Pushrods
10) Adrenaline HPOP recommended, new stock 17deg may hold up
650whp+:
1) E-fuel (I like Beans and Irate systems)
2) 350cc/200%
3) 366/80/0.91 for 550-575hp, 369/80/1.00 for 550-600whp, S467/83 for 550-750whp (AR depends on HP level)
4) Plenum upgrade
5) Tuning
6) Decent clutch
7) Head studs
8) Competition valve springs
9) Competition pushrods
10) Adrenaline HPOP
11) Upgraded IDM is ideal
