Is there anyone out there that makes a better larger radiator or is there a radiator that does not use a Trans cooler in it? (Have an aftermarket Trans cooler and would like to use the whole radiator for coolant do not need to run trans fluid in the rad at all)

yes you do....
the radiator is what helps heat the trans fluid when its cold...its not just for cooling. It also help keeps the temp STABLE.
Remember your converters not even gonna lock up unless you are above 90*...

What year/engine truck do you have?
wanted to see if we can bring the engine coolant temps down a little with a better rad. and the trans cooler we have made and are using will get to 185 degrees then when the fan is turned on it will cool the trans temp down to 150 degrees in about 10 min. Wanted to see if there was a rad. out there that was all aluminum and not plastic that did not have a built in trans cooler

you need the trans cooler in the radiator. Please trust us on this....
100% no i do not trust me you dont know what this is i did not ask anything but if anyone know of a rad. i dont need to know anything else (not trying to be a a-hole but i just wanted to know if any such rad. was out there)_

So what is going to keep your new cooler from overcooling the fluid in the winter?
Do you think it would cool it that much? What about for race apps? Ive thought about putting a smaller radiator in my truck to make more space, but this is a good topic now.
Also, don't hook up the tranny to to radiator, by-pass it.
Kind of like what Ben said. The fluid running through the radiator helps add heat into the fluid when it is cold outside. I don't know if it is 100% necessary, but if you have a really big external cooler and it is really cold outside, I can see how the fluid might get too cool after running through the cooler. Personally ive drove in some pretty cold temps and dont see it being a issue JMHO

you guys are so stubborn. What is wrong with the thing running like factory? If its not overheating and the temp runs stable then why dick with it???? This isnt a gasser, stop treating it like one; it doesnt run better the colder you make it. Mike has said countless times DONT DO THIS.

If the original poster is enough of a know-it-all that thinks he can run it against what all of the allison experts have said/advised, then he should be able to look up/source is own damn radiator without help from us.
