I ended up with a hole in an AC line and now have to recharge it. I lost a little oil replacing the line that goes to the bottom of the consendor. I have an accumulator on order as well. How much oil Should I be adding? I found this thread here: https://www.duramaxdiesels.com/forum/threads/adding-oil-to-new-ac-compressor.75750/
Just wanting to verify What was said in here. From what I can understand, I would add about 3 OZ. Should I add it right into the accumulator? or add the oil through the line while charging?

I'd add it to the line while charging. Can you measure how much oil is in the old accumulator before adding any replacement?

Is it as simple as holding it upside down and seeing how much comes out? or does it get trapped in a cavity or something?
