I did the gm mats this go around. Weather techs from front from the 15 are in the shed, they destroyed the plastic they were supposed to protect. It was covered in micro scratches and looked grey instead of black. The GM mats feel much better and dont seem to destroy the plastic so I gave them a shot in the front. The back gm mat is 2 pieces and weather tech is 1 piece...

ive got NIB wethertechs for my 16 when i had it never installed for this reason..i think some scuff pads would maybe help, but never tried..

actually still have the gm floor mats in plastic too for that matter.

I'm sorry to hear that it's being shipped by railroad :roflmao:

I know we use to move stuff fast but the last 3 or 4 years especially its all about fuel conservation and less about on time performance and velocity. We use to run all of our intermodal trains at 70mph and now with some of their stupid rules they have out now we have a hard making 55mph. With that said I had a smoking trip down to Kansas City today. about 3 hours and 45 minutes running time from ft madison iowa to kansas city Kansas. But then again that was on our "flag ship" (train going to Northbay California facility) train if you will.

Nice, yea the fuel conservation thing is a joke. We can hardly run track speed. And pulling hills engineers have actually said it has used more fuel. Who knows. Its a bunch of craziness. They got us writing out signal logs too. I guess just gotta do what they say so i still have a job haha

Picked it up yesterday... glad I waited for the L5P.

Kinda sad that I can't really get on it in Minnesota... the roads are awful. Any time I go near the skinny pedal with traction control off it was spinning.

Throttle response down low is silly awesome, honestly feels like a gas truck a little bit under 30mph where all the other Duramaxs I've owned feel a bit laggy. Have yet to have a dead pedal feeling. It's ready to go all the time though, nice confident feeling. Can't wait to tow one of our Bobcat T770's with it. :thumb:

Only has 100 miles on it so far but I really like it. The color is awesome too.

I already had my transfer tank and toolbox colormatched to it so going to pop that in for sure too.

Nice Corny, I really like that color. I'm going to go drive 1 this week and see what the hype is all about. If this engine pans out, I'll go get an 18 this August...

I see the dealer near me has two Alaskan model 17 Duramax's. They have a big decal of a bear on the box. sharp looking trucks but both were WT models that was kind of disappointing.
