2011 Duramax with 6L90 trans

Just got an inquirey on one with bad trans. Supposedly came this way from the factory. Never heard of such a setup. Anyone one else heard of this setup?

I checked the Vin with my dealer and it is a legit Duramax 2500 HD PU with 6L90 trans from the factory. There is even a GM Reman trans available in Texas for it. Price is 2880.00 including converter.
Truck belongs to an explosives company. Truck has 200K miles on it before it destroyed the planets.

It wouild have to be. Don't think a 6L90 would live long behind a true LML.

Special order? being an explosive company maybe they had some very specific (and odd) requirements and somehow a 6L90 was one of them?

Maybe a Canadian truck. I've seen some weird combinations from Canada over the years.

100% agreed. I cant say Ive ever read a transmission thread in 14 years where Mike DIDN'T know the answer or had some sage advice.

06-10 lly/lbz/LMM with the 4l85 250/460
11-16 LMM 6l90 260/525
