There will be no more 1057 converters as of this week. Cores have run out. If someone wants one built it will have to be with brand new parts from Allison and the price will be just short of 2,000.00.
I will be testing a replacement in my truck next week. I will keep everyone posted with results.

where were they getting the medium duty cores in the first place? Why cant the 1058 just replace it? Can they make something "just like" the 1057 that doesnt require two cores?

The closest match to a 1057 is my Precision ML. It is right there with it and does certain things better and vise versa. The new one I will be testing is a 1054 which is a 1055 mixed with 1056. Remember Pat went faster with the PI than he did with the SC in Casper till the latest big charger.
