Another reason not to get involved....

If things actually happened the way they are written up in the article, I don't have much sympathy for the old man who did the shooting. The unfortunate thing about the way our media works today is it is difficult to know how much of the truth is actually written in a news article.

April '24 Chat --- Got Jokes?

If you're looking to build it yourself, I would be looking at Goerend for parts. I can get you whatever you need, and I'm about 2 hours east of Ft Worth.

    Roll Pan hitch

I used a B&W for my truck when I had a roll pan with the hitch behind the license plate, but I built my hitch so the tube was very close to the back of the plate. If your hitch is way back in there, it might suffer the same problem you've been fighting. If you have a measurement for how much...

1/8 mile discussion and time slips post here!

Has to be an issue with the timing system measuring trap speed. No way those guys run so close to the same time at every point on the track and have that much discrepancy on the trap speed.

April '24 Chat --- Got Jokes?

That's dumb. In Texas you can buy a salvage vehicle, repair it, and get a regular title that is "branded" and says rebuilt from salvage, but insurance will give you whatever coverage you want. My buddy who grew up in a body shop does it all the time.

April '24 Chat --- Got Jokes?

Why would it have a salvage title, and why would you only be able to get liability on a salvage title vehicle? Does North Carolina have some dumb laws?

    Normal FPR duty cycle?

You are missing something because the truck sets the P0089 code when actual and desired are off by more than 20 MPa. You need to datalog it and figure out where it isn't maintaining desired rail pressure. Were you directed to step 7 by another step, or were you just going down the list? You...

    Wastegates

We need more info. What is the setup? What wastegate? What turbo? What engine and fueling (injector size and CP3)? The short answer is stronger spring and plumbing into the wastegate. The long answer is a lot more complicated.

Ever heard of Boostline rods before?

I've used the Callies rods in a few builds and didn't have any balancing issues. I have another set here now for a motor I'm going to be putting together for my old LBZ.

    LM2 Vs LZO

I will add that the factory lift of the AT4 will also have a negative effect on fuel economy.

    LBZ / ZF6 Compatibility

There is some confusion with LLY and LBZ. If you get an LLY flywheel, make sure it is for a 2006 LLY. The 2004-2005 LLY has a different counter weight that will not work with the LBZ crank. I only mention it because GM's use of the LLY RPO code in 2006 causes a lot of confusion.

    2018 l5p high county U18A2 help

The first thing I would do would be to get rid of the can bus plugs and plug all the stock modules back in. I've seen can bus plugs cause more problems than they fix. I wish people would quit selling them.

Efi live question motors lmm 07

There's a good chance you will have to buy new tunes if you changed the ECM. Like Brad said, the tuner is licensed to the ECM serial number which is unique to each ECM and cannot be changed. Then there is the fact that most tuners send out the AutoCal with 1 available VIN license slot, and...

    December '23 Chat --- It's Christmastime!

I know you've been dealing with some health problems with your dad recently. I guess he passed away? I must have missed that post. Sorry for your loss, Tom. I'm sure that made things a lot more difficult for your Christmas.
