4wd light does not come on

Hey guys I have an 06 lbz gmc it is a w/t so it has a manual transfer case. 4wd still works and I did verify that the light comes on with a scanner…. For some reason it just bothers me and before I throw parts at it I’d like to see if anyone has any advice…. Thanks!

The encoder in transfer case, or switch is bad or out of alignment.

I was looking at a wiring diagram and it looks like the sensor on top of the t case tells the actuator to turn on and then the actuator sends a digit the pcm to turn the light on… I’m wondering if the actuator is just failing to turn the light on.

Could be in the tune if it is tuned.
