The truck definitely need a 3 axle alignment, their fix for cupped tires is new tires. Our mechanics used to hate me for my DVIR writeups, until one mechanic, Dana (RIP), read the rest the riot act to shut them up. She liked having easy quarterly PMIs bc everything was already repaired.I also hated on-road vehicle breakdowns.
AIM/Penske/Ryder all operate about the sameAdam, it sure sounds like your company needs to find a new truck leasing company. Their maintenance program is terrible.
Yeah new chains typically need to "wear" in a bit or need to be overtightened to keep them from feeling a bit loose. New binders are also a bit rougher than "slightly" used ones that have had a little wear on them to smooth out the rough spots.Well I might not have shadow come Monday, old boy got pissed at not being able to work chains and binders this afternoon.. threw 2-3 that I know of and said F this place and their junk equipment this is the worst place Ive worked for...
IDK new binders and chains aren't going to be any easier![]()
Chains are brown and not the shiny yellow since G70 chains are new, binders are all greased and lubed as I don't like working harder then I have to.Yeah new chains typically need to "wear" in a bit or need to be overtightened to keep them from feeling a bit loose. Lubrication on binders is a must or they will rust up and get almost impossible to use. My personal binders for my trailers all get grease shot into the body to help keep the threads lubricated in the body.
.I've used them as well.James I used a place in ocala,fl called National Parts Depot. I redid a 68 Camaro. They were awesome to work with. That has been 20 years ago though
