Geezus, Joe....that is one hell of a shop. Where's the two-post lift, though?

I also see you've done plenty of late night road sign shopping, or you work for the Ohio DOT. :ROFLMAO:

The only lift I would do will hold be a 4 post. I don’t trust myself with a 2 post and the concrete isn’t thick enough for a 2 post truck lift.

Well…… alot of them were picked up after being knocked down. But our oldest went through a phase where he might have taken a couple. The Lutz road sign is my favorite one. ?

Nothing like a good winter time nose bleed from the wood burner
Gas heat for us. But growing up my parents had a wood fireplace. Built in unit that we replaced with one that had a blower built in. It was the only heat we used. Living room would be hot as hell and the bedrooms were perfect. But as they got older, dad didn’t want to cut and split wood every year, so he replaced it with a propane heater. Same effect though lol.
Also just confirmed the heat is staying off ?.

The amount of near wrecks I've almost been in due to cop on the side of the road, and general public think's the law stop and move over and rubber neck here in Ohio is absurd...
Add the fact cops blinding on coming traffic with not just blues but white floods doesn't help... Too many deer in the headlights acting like moths to a flame
The lighting on emergency vehicles is gotten ridiculous. I don't know why we can't have a daytime and nighttime setting. I've been at accident scenes where there was so many "Emergency" lights you couldn't see where you were going. One of the construction companies I work for wanted yellow Beacon lights on all of our equipment. Early morning in the fog you couldn't see shit with them all on.

Come down to the Gulf coast. Us being used to a 100% humidity during the summertime in the wintertime it's ridiculous how dry we get. The humidity drops to 70% I'm looking for some lotion....lol I'm not sure if that sounds really gay or really creepy....

I really miss wood burning stoves. Growing up we heated our houses with firewood and there's nothing like that heat. I tried to talk my wife into letting me put one in to use for 1 month out of the year down here. She won't let me. When I go up north to visit family I still pull up a chair right next to the fireplace.

"It rubs the lotion on its skin, or else it gets the hose again!"" ?

I went thru that phase in HS, too.

If you ever want to give out actual name street signs for Christmas, there's this:

I gave them to my siblings one year. They are the genuine article.

Woke up this morning and humidity in my house was 20%
Well at least there won't be anything growing mold

Back before my parents started their massive remodeling, the farm house only had heat to the first floor. Winter time mornings usually consisted of a giant blanket covering us kids and the register while we waited for breakfast

Ah...the vent for the second floor in the first floor ceiling above the one main furnace outlet in the center of the house. Been there. Loud as all hell in the living room, cold upstairs.
I had to redesign my home's entire HVAC to modern individual room vents/cold air returns because it had that old design when I bought it. Thats the fun when buying an at-the-time 135 year old house. Knob-and-tube electrical is also fun to play with.

Everything around St Louis was nuts yesterday, and it wasn't even that much snow. Took me 4 hours to get home from picking my daughter up from school. About 15 miles.

Looking at the bright side, you got to spend time with your daughter

We're lucky in that there's never been any shortage of that. When she was an infant and my wife went back to work, she was with me all day every day until she started going to a Montessori school at 18 months, at which point I would pick her up after school and she would again be home with me, and that continues to this day (she'll be 11 next month). When she's sick, she stays home with me, when she doesn't have school, she's home with me... She's never seen daycare.

Random WTF is wrong with people.

Just got the kids to bed. Sitting on my couch, just about 3 sips into my glass of Buffalo Trace and there’s a quick 5 knocks on my front door. House is dark, one strand of Christmas lights over the garage. I sit in the dark next to the fake fire and drink my evening glass or two and just take a minute.

Keep in mind this is 9:15pm. Very not normal in my area.
Me being me.. I grab my pew pew off the kitchen table and go to the door. Not a soul around. Random 2010 white Impala LTZ sitting at the corner of my yard.
Wait a minute and open the door to go out and get the keys out of my wife’s rig like I do at bedtime.

There’s a fresh red apple on the door step, upside down.

What the actual fuck.

After getting the keys I grab a plastic bag, pick up the apple like dog poop and take it to the outside trash can.. Impala drives back by..

Haven’t seen them again.
